Youth gang involvement in the community can impact school behavior and increase violence during school, on the school campus, and at after school events. Comprehensive solutions to prevent gang violence, and reduce gang involvement requires a whole community approach. The following resources provide information about research and best practices in this area.

National Gang Center

The National Gang Center is a federally funded project with a mission to inform, equip, and train communities to prevent gang violence, reduce gang involvement, and suppress gang-related crime.

Anti-Gang Initiatives at the FBI

The FBI is dedicated to disrupting and dismantling the most significant gangs through intelligence-driven investigations and initiatives and partnerships such as Safe Streets Task Forces, the National Gang Intelligence Center, and Transnational Anti-Gang Task Forces.​​
